The Souq lends you a flavourful burst of Emirati heritage, in addition to several avenues for entertainment and shopping. The Souq is a platform for Emirati entrepreneurs to establish a sound professional footing and to showcase their products.

The Souq is located at the heart of the Emirate and is one of the oldest ones here. Presently, the Souq is playing host to the Al Basta Emirati Cultural Festival, an event that aptly demonstrates the local heritage and culture.

The event has a wide offering of live music, traditional craft workshops, interaction with exotic animals, not to mention the delicious local cuisine. You can also indulge in some shopping and buy ethnic stuff that showcases the regional arts. You can also sample the organic traditional tea, while your children can play with the animals in the arena. The festival is open on Fridays and Saturdays till March 9
