The holiday was declared by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. They said Sunday, November 18 will be a holiday for the private sector on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
The announcement came in the wake of a circular that was issued by Nasser bin Thani Juma Al Hamli, the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation. He conveyed his greetings to the citizens and residents of the UAE and prayed to the almighty to grant progress and prosperity to all Arab and Muslim nations.
Following this, the cabinet of the UAE took the decision on Monday that November 18 would see the public sector enjoying the holiday too.
