In an major move, the Abu Dhbai Municipality has reduced the service fees involved in the registration of properties, rental contracts and other transactions by up to 50 per cent.
This comes amidst a new governmnet resolution that also exempts all the new businesses that have been issued with new licenses from paying the local fees for a period of two years. This move comes as a sure way of attracting investors. From December 1, 2018, the Abu Dhabi Executive Council resolutions that have been published in the latest local official gazette have come into effect.
The Resolution No 336 of 2018 in context of reducing and cancelling the fees of municipal services in Abu Dhabi was issued by the secretary-general of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, Dr Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei. He also said that such measures were aimed at enhancing the various facets of the business sector in addition to boosting its competitiveness.
Accordingly, 75 municipality services fees were cancelled and 23 municipality fees were reduced by 10 to 50 per cent in line with the resolution.
