The Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF) announced the winners of The Gulf Capital – ADMAF Creativity Award 2018 and The Gulf Capital – Abu Dhabi Festival Visual Arts Award 2017 at the Emirates Palace Auditorium Foyer, in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance; Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Founder of ADMAF and Artistic Director of the Abu Dhabi Festival; and Dr. Karim Al Solh, CEO of Gulf Capital.
Ahmed Al Tunaiji from New York University, Abu Dhabi won The Gulf Capital – ADMAF Creativity Award 2018 for the ‘Arasian’ short film; while Emirati artist and recent Higher College Technology Women’s College Abu Dhabi graduate, Sakeena Al Rumaithi won The Gulf Capital – Abu Dhabi Festival Visual Arts Award 2017 for her jewellery designs. Both of their works can be enjoyed by visitors throughout the 15th anniversary of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2018 at Emirates Palace. ADMAF aims to encourage opportunities within the country’s growing creative and cultural industries by nurturing aspiring and emerging Emirati artists and creative practitioners. The awards shine a light on the country’s creative young talent across visual arts, performing arts, literature, animation or film.
