As the cold winter months set in, residents in the UAE have a great new place to spend time pursuing various activities. The Al Hudariyat island in Abu Dhabi has been attracting a large number of people what with the many options available on the spot. Cycling enthusiasts can rent bicycles on the island for as less as Dh 50 an hour and spend some time glorious hours cycling on the expansive tracks.
The island comprises about a 3000 whopping acres near the Al Bateen Beach and sports a bridge that was constructed at a cost of Dh 184 million. The bridge features two loops of running and cycling tracks running on for 5 km and 10 km, respectively. The island was first commissioned in 2009 and took almost a decade to be established into the outdoor entertainment hub that it is today.
Many cycling enthusiasts have welcomed the island saying that it gives them an avenue to explore their favorite sport without the fear of cars mowing the down. Moreover, the island also has a public beach that is quite expansive and is crafted to lend optimum beach pleasure. A designated area for kids comes equipped with swings, slides and learning activities.
