As the third edition of the Arab Hope Makers is yet again all set to unfold, it has so far received a startling 65,489 submissions.
The initiative aims to glorify and encourage philanthropic and charitable gestures that pave the way for a more positive society across the Arab world.
The innovative initiative was spearheaded by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,in 2017 and is under the ambit of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
The submissions for the forum were entertained until April 18, while the evaluation and review of the applications will be carried out over April with the names of the winners being announced next month.
The statement on the official website read, “Our message is to channel hope to fight despair, frustration and pessimism, and to enhance optimism, strengthen the culture of giving, and provide the opportunity for positive change through the people who spread those aspirations with their initiatives and projects”.
The initiative was launched with the primary aim of honoring individuals who launch humanitarian efforts and projects that boost community life and lend a helping hand to those in need.
