The director of Danube Properties, Atif Rahman, explored the facets of business-growth oriented strategies and also how to make luxury an affordable commodity in a market that is dominated by expensive communities. Despite the sliding of rents in properties across the UAE, Danube properties is consistently managing to sell out all its properties. Rahman says that the company has sold property worth $ 327 million in the last one year and has registered a significant year-on-year growth. Its latest venture – Lawnz, a gated community set up in International City was launched in June and was completely sold out within a span of three days. He says that such was the level of interest in the property that prospective buyers had deposited their cheques even before the actual price could be revealed.

Meanwhile, other ventures like Glamz and Starz are also currently underway with the work progressing according to schedule. Rahman’s vast experience in the field has stood him in good stead while making professional inroads. Moreover, he also attributes his success to his Engineer grandfather who had an influence on his formative years. His passion for his job shines through in all his undertakings. Before settling for a plot he delves deep into various aspects of the site and makes his own reports on technical and financial feasibility. He says that the company’s aim is to look at a property from the eventual owner’s perspective – how they would feel while living there.
