Gulfood, the world’s largest annual food event has placed innovation at the heart of its 23rd edition. As the curtain falls, Gulfood has promised a wave of new services and innovations to reflect changes in consumer demand by sourcing the latest and best products at the best price. The event welcomed more than 5,000 exhibitors from 185 countries showcasing products across 8 primary market sectors such as Beverages, Diary, Fats & Oils, Health & Wellness, Pulses & Grains, Meat & Poultry, World Food, and Power Brands with multiple product categories.
Gulfood, a gateway to new food business in established, evolving and emerging markets, had more than 5000 local, regional and international suppliers from 5 continents and showcased a glimpse of the diverse food culture from around the world. The Indian Pavilion especially witnessed a huge increase in the number of visitors than in the past year. Over 500 companies had arrived for the exhibition from India this time and among them, Lulu Group, which houses one of the fastest growing retail chains and food processing business in the world, held the most extensive and powerful pavilion which introduced their meat-based products from India. In addition to this, the strong presence of MA Yusuff Ali, CMD of LuLu Group, made the stall even more appealing to investors.
Arab India Spices, a pioneer of the consistently expanding worldwide agricultural trade with their flagship brand ‘777’, closed deals worth 10 billion USD from the export orders received through the Gulfood exhibition. The famous ‘Citta Del Gelato’, ‘Gelato Divino’ and ‘Russo’s New York Pizzeria’ showcased their delightful Italian flavours while ‘The Cheesecake Factory’, ‘U.S Route 66 Popcorn’, etc. awed the crowd with their true American flavours. This year’s event had 97,000 visitors and 1 million sq. ft. of exhibition space.
