The Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi (DCT – Abu Dhabi) has announced the launch of the ‘Al Dhafra Book Fair’ from 18th to 21st March 2018 at the Occasions hall, Madinat Zayed, Al Dhafra. The book fair will include a wide range of cultural events and programmes aimed at spreading a habit for reading, and a love for knowledge and creativity. In addition, the participation of more than 20 publishers and local distributors will provide access to a broad variety of books and the latest publications in all fields of interest.
Al Dhafra Book Fair is held under Patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority. It will explore the role of culture and the social environment in stimulating creativity and nurturing intellectual growth, by showcasing the experiences of Emirati authors, and creating a unique opportunity for visitors to meet their favourite writers and acquire signed works. The book fair focuses on supporting the local and regional publishing industry and encouraging a culture of reading across the UAE’s community. The four-day fair will bring together a dynamic programme for book-lovers of all ages, promising an enjoyable visitor experience.
