Dubai officers were in for a pleasant surprise when His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issued a resolution that paved the way for their promotion. The resolution benefitted 821 officers, non-commissioned officers and members of staff at the General Directorate of Residency of Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai. The resolution was an acknowledgment of the officers’ professional competence and hard work.
The Director-General of GDRFA Dubai, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohammad and also to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. He said that the recognition bestowed by the leaders of the UAE would inspire the country’s military, police and security workers to work harder to bring about professional excellence.
The Director-General also praised Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, for his unflinching commitment in taking measures to safeguard the security and safety of residents in the UAE.
