Dubai is all set to host the region’s most comprehensive solar energy exhibition, the Dubai Solar Show in October this year. The show is in its third successful chapter and is being conducted under the aegis of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa). The organizers of the show have encouraged companies specializing in the solar energy field to make use of the show as an avenue to endorse their technology, services and products.
The show that is being held in coordination with the 20th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2018), is expected to be held from October 23 to 25 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The solar show is anticipated to be a major attraction and will cover an estimated area of 14,000 square metres that will see the participation of about 125 exhibitors and a dozen sponsors from across the globe.
The solar show is conducted in a bid to review the strides made in the solar energy field and also to explore further possibilities of development, research and innovation. Dewa has established the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which has the distinction of being the world’s largest solar park that bases its working on the independent power producer model (IPP).
