Etihad Aviation Group to deliver 400 meals per day to charity throughout 2018 and beyond, with approximately 150,000 meals to be donated every year. The group has teamed up with the Grace Conservation Programme of Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) and Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority to donate in-flight meals to labourer residences in Mussaffah, Abu Dhabi.
The community programme was announced in early Ramadan to promote a spirit of sharing during the Holy Month as part of the Year of Zayed sustainability and corporate social responsibility efforts. The meals are prepared for the airline’s three onboard cabins; First Class, Business Class and Economy Class. ERC will provide an equipped kitchen and trucks to collect and store meals for distribution.
