A sprawling community market being constructed under a Dh 36-million project, will soon come up in Abu Dhabi’s new residential cities. The market, which will span 23,000 square metres is set to begin operations by the end of 2020. In measures that furthered the project, the Abu Dhabi Municipality signed two contracts with Tristar Construction and Real Estate Company.
The contracts include the building of the community market at Mohammed Bin Zayed city (MBZ) and the establishment of a 5585 sqm service station that will cater to the residential districts in Al Shawamekh city. The community market will include restaurants, coffee shops, play grounds, health clubs, a government service support centre and a hypermarket.
The two projects are part of the strategy undertaken by the municipality to manifest the vision of the Abu Dhabi government to boost cooperation within the private sector. The municipality aims to bring essential services closer to the community while making it more accessible. The projects also endeavor to improve the quality of living in the area and lend world-class shopping services.
