Expat pens Sheikh Zayed’s biography in Malayalam

For the first time ever, an insightful biography of the late Founding Father of the UAE, Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, is all set to be launched in the Malayalam language. In an unprecedented move, Ammar Kizhuparamba, a media personality in the UAE of Indian origin, has penned the literary tribute in the language that is spoken in the Indian state of Kerala.

The biography which is appropriately entitled “Shaikh Zayed – The Leader of Virtue”, is a rich tribute to the inspiring life and values of the late leader. Moreover, the launch of the book coincides with the 100th birth year celebrations of the founding father, The Year of Zayed. The launching ceremony is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi during the course of a grand ceremony.

The author says that the book covers aspects of Sheikh Zayed’s life, his values, governance and the nation-building efforts. His influence in shaping the history and culture of each Emirate has also been well documented in the book. The book is also a mélange of rare pictures that the author painstakingly collected. He says that the community that benefitted the most from the country’s welcoming policies is certainly the Malayali community, which is why they are indebted to Sheikh Zayed.
