As Thursady morning dawned on the residents of the northern emirates, they witnessed the patter of gentle rain. The met department has said that intermittent showers could be expected to fall on the UAE for the next few days.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said that there were reports of rain showers in Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Al Ain City. Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures across the nation swung between 16 degree celcius to 18 degree celcius.
Today, the conditions are expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy, accompanied by the chance of rainfall. The northern and Eastern Emirates could see rainfall in several areas while some areas may see a rise in the mercury.
The winds are predicted to be moderate to strong and will be in a southeasterly to northeasterly direction, causing sand and dust to billow up. The resulting waves could be as high as seven feet. The NCM expects the weather over the next two days to be fairly constant just before a drastic fall in temperatures as Saturday approaches.
