The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) held a retreat for the benefit of the members of the Dubai International Communication Committee.
The retreat was held to promote the discussion and brainstorming of strategies that would pave the way for enhancing the reputation of Dubai from a global perspective and also in the media.
Those who attended the event included officials representing government and semi-government entities that have a marked presence in global markets that are of significance to the interests of Dubai.
During the retreat, major issues that lingered on the worldwide perception of Dubai were reviewed. Discussions also centered around how to bolster the city’s reputation across the globe.
Mona Al Merri, Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, said that the retreat was among the slew of initiatives that were aimed at promoting major entities in the city to enhance their reputation while also working on boosting the global image of Dubai. She said that it was critical to understand the perception of the city in order to cement its reputation further.
