97,000 attendees witnessed the 23rd edition of Gulfood, the world’s biggest annual food and hospitality show. A huge crowd was seen patiently waiting for their turn, outside Gelato Divino’s stall at the Gulfood 2018 exhibition. “We are the region’s leading brand of authentic Italian Gelato, produced fresh daily at our very own production facility in Dubai. Our products differ based on the country we are in, we do an extensive research in finding out traditional and cultural elements that contribute to the choice of gelato in each country. For example, in the UAE, our best sellers are Arabic flavoured gelatos like Dates and Saffron, in India, it’s Chiku, Guava, etc. We participate in Gulfood every year and it’s a great platform for improving our reach. This year we are planning to focus on expanding to Asian countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.”, said Sameer Sadique, General Manager at Gelato Divino, in an exclusive interview with Emirates PR.

Created by Al Qubaisi Group in 2010, Gelato Divino has now got over 35 Gelato outlets throughout the UAE and produce 1000 litres of gelato per day. “Our signature recipes for Gelato has only natural ingredients and are prepared with less air and fat than traditional ice cream. Gelato Divino has over 120 different flavours of Gelato and we also supply most of the five-star hotels in addition to our own outlets”, Sameer added.

The Group is headed by Abdulla Al Qubaisi on a partnership with German entrepreneur Nicolas O. Reincke, Sameer Sadique and Harris Kachanchery. These four entrepreneurs founded the company specializing in retail in 2007 with the aim of providing the customers of the UAE a variety of consumer goods through sales outlets in all major shopping malls across the country. The Group started out with a single outlet and 6 employees and has since grown to over 55 retail outlets spread in 10 countries with more than 250 employees.
