As events that showcase the values of tolerance and peace are at the forefront to coincide with the Year of Tolerance, Hessa Bint Eisa Bu Humaid, Minister of Community Development, officially inaugurated the Global Tolerance Exhibition for Productive Families, yesterday.
The event is being held at ‘The Point’ in Palm Jumeirah. The event is scheduled to run on from March 7 to 9 and comes at a time when the nation is ushering in the Year of Tolerance with the objectives of bolstering its aim of promoting creativity, while also fostering peaceful co-existence and inter-faith dialogue in a nation that is home to people representing over 200 nationalities.
Around 25 countries are sending in families as their representatives to attend the Global Tolerance Exhibition. A stall will be dedicated to each family so that they can showcase products that display their national heritage, costumes, cuisines and handicrafts.
