On Sunday, the Gulf Medical University (GMU) announced the establishment of a new college. The University said that the latest institution will offer bachelor and master’s programmes in health care management and economics. The programmes will commence from the Spring of 2019.
While the executive master’s course in health management and economics will be beginning from the month of March, the bachelor’s course will kick start classes from Fall of 2019. Meanwhile, the university announced that admissions are currently open to all the courses. This was announced by Professor Hussam Hamdi, chancellor of GMU. Students enrolling in the courses will be offered scholarships based on their past academic performances.
The College of Health Care Management and Economics, CHME, is projected to be the first of its kind in the country and will be established in the emirate of Ajman. There will be 65 openings in bachelor’s segment while the executive master’s course has 35 seats.
