‘Happiness card’ for UAE workers visiting ‘Tawjeeh’ centres

The ‘Tawjeeh’ centres in Abu Dhabi and Dubai have announced a great initiative to increase the convenience of workers in the UAE. Now, workers visiting the centres will be given a ‘happiness card’. This package comprises a free mobile SIM card that would be extremely useful for the workers when they want to communicate with the authorities. The measure was announced on Saturday and will go a long way in boosting the efficacy of the Tawjeeh centres that ensures and carries out initiatives to boost labor related services in the UAE.

Currently, seven centres in Dubai and another seven in Abu Dhabi are offering services to workers. What’s more, this service is also being offered in 16 different languages for the benefit of the workers who arrive from different parts of the globe. The phone numbers provided to workers are then fed into a database maintained by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation so that emerging laws and regulations in the labor sector can be intimated to workers through SMSs.
