It was announced on Sunday that the Hatta Border had welcomed a massive number of visitors who entered the city of Dubai through the port.
It is estimated that around 898,100 visitors entered through the Hatta Gate during the first quarter of the current year.
Compared to the past years, the port has seen an increase of 35% in the number of visitors. This was stated by Major General Mohammad Al Marri, director-general of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.
The General also said that the port was of a unique nature and offers great services to the customers. He made the statements at the GDRFA centre, which is located at the Hatta Border Crossing Point.
He added that the staff at the port should brace themselves to welcome a flurry of visitors during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr.
