In the wake of the tragic terror attack that took place at the Al Noor Mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, the Imam of the Mosque has expressed his gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for its unwavering support for the muslim community in New Zealand.
The Imam, Jamal Fouda, made these statements while on a visit to the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi. The Imam is visiting the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments in Abu Dhabi. He had a meeting with Dr. Mohammed Matar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Authority.
The Chairman warmly welcomed the Imam while expressing his condolences to the victims of the cowardly terror attack and the people of New Zealand. During the meet, they had concerted discussions on imminent aspects of religious discourse and various relevant religious issues. The Imam ardently agreed with the stance of the UAE regarding the concept that religious coexistence and interfaith dialogue is the need of the hour.
