International women’s shooting championship to be backed by Lulu Group

The Lulu Group International will support the 2nd edition of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Women’s Shooting Championship to be held in Abu Dhabi. This was announced by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Championship who signed the agreement with Yusuff Ali MA, Chairman of the Lulu Group in Abu Dhabi at a press conference held in the city. Aref Al-Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, member of the Organizing Committee, and Hassan Al Shehhi, the Executive Director of the Championship were also present during the occasion.

 

Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi welcomed the continuity of the group’s sponsorship for the second year, stressing that it has contributed to advancing the work in the previous phase. He said that the group deserved to be a partner of success and thanked them for their sponsorship. Al-Raisi also thanked His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, for his continuous support to the event and to His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for his generous guidance and support for this major international event.

 

Arif Al-Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council extended his thanks to the Lulu Group for their support of the sport domain in general and its presence in various sports and community events and for renewing the partnership with the Championship in its second edition to support this great international event, stressing that it is not a new initiative for the Group which is always keen to be associated with such significant events. Al-Awani praised the private sector in supporting sports competitions in the country, especially in the context of women’s sport

 

Yusuff Ali M.A. expressed his happiness over the group being a partner in the championship stressing that it will continue to do so in all future editions. He pointed out that it is the responsibility of the Group to be a permanent partner in such championships bearing the name of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak which also reflects empowerment of women. Yusuff Ali thanked the Organizing Committee for choosing the Group to be a partner in this global women’s sport event.
