If you are a fitness aficionado this weekend in Dubai may just about be in your focus of interest. What’s more, you can do all this free of cost. The Dubai Fitness Challenge Opening Carnival Weekend is opening up a range of fitness activities like yoga, football, aerobic classes etc.
The opening weekend has many events and activities targeted at residents who wish to participate in fitness activities. The month long challenge was initiated by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council. The aim of the programme is part of the strategy to make Dubai the most active city worldwide. Organisers are hoping to rope in at least a million participants.
Residents who wish to participate in the events can download the DFC app and register by using the app. They can also find classes, create fitness groups and make it compatible wit their fitness trackers. Organisers urge Dubai residents to pursue at least 30 minutes a day for 30 days. To keep up the fitness mantra, stalls in the vicinity will be selling healthy juices and sandwiches. Residents who are interested can head to the Dubai Festival City on October 26 and 27.
