Ali Mohammad Naji, at 75, is on a quest to prove to the world that age is no barrier to ambitions and dreams. This Emirati has gone back to college after retiring from his job and has now proudly walked out with a two-year graduate degree in MBA.
His son, Fahed Ali, shared the inspiring story of his father’s fresh new stint on Twitter by way of selfies taken at the graduation ceremony. He proudly wrote on Twitter, “My father at age 75 decided to continue his education. Today was his graduation ceremony and he was awarded a Master’s degree. Proud of you father #UAE.”
The tweet quickly went viral and was retweeted by several thousand admirers and garnered up to 1900 likes. Ali says that he was surprised by the reaction of Twitter denizens since all he intended to share was a personal moment.

Speaking to Gulf News, Ali said he was surprised by the attention the post got as he just meant to share a personal moment on his account. Naji hopes that his endeavor will prove to be a shining example to his children and grandchildren and also to other Emiratis. He further says that there is no end to the quest for knowledge. He conveyed his gratitude to the leaders of the UAE for furthering the cause of education.
