A collaborative partnership between Dubai Cares and Save the Children will see more than 30,000 Sri Lankan children benefiting from a new literacy programme.
The literacy programme will be kick started in the individual districts of the children and will pave the way for their education.
In line with the measure, a delegation that represented Dubai Cares undertook a visit to Sri Lanka. The team made visits to the Northern and Southern provinces of the nation, parts that could do with improvements to the quality of education.
The project that is being initiated at a cost of Dh3.6 million, focuses on strengthening the teaching ability of teachers, administrators of educational institutions, and also to work in collaboration with local community members to raise awareness and foster language development.
