The commuters using the metro in Dubai were in for a pleasant surprise as they were confronted by a fantastic display of live music at the metro stations.
International musiscians showcased their talents at five metro stations as part of the Dubai Metro Music Fesitival. The festival that commenced yesterday is free to attend and features rousing performances by around 25 musicians from across the globe.
During the peak times of 6 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 9 pm, commuters took a few moments to enjoy the musical performaces. The festival will run on for a week at the Burjuman, Union, DMCC, Mall of the Emirates and Burj Khalifa stations.
The musicians participating in the festival represent a wide array of musical genres and include street musicians, traditional performers, classical artists and fusion artists. They were of the opinon that the venue gives them a great avenue to demonstrate their talents and make connections through music.
Those who are tilted towards the cultural side can look forward to a an extensive range of culturale evnts such as the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, Art Dubai, the SIKKA Art Fair and World Art Dubai.
