Lulu wins the prestigious brand of the year award
The Lulu Group has won the prestigious Brand of the Year Award at the annual World Branding Awards 2018. The ceremony was held at Kensington Palace in London on October 31. The award is unprecedented for a hypermarket chain and Lulu has stormed into the bastion with a phenomenal performance. The award is given to an organisation that displays a sustained brand communication and also demonstrates a high level of marketing and consumer engagement.
The award was received by Ashraf Ali MA, the Executive Director of Lulu from Richard Rowles, Chairman of World Banking Forum. Also present during the occasion were Adeeb Ahamed, MD of Lulu Financial Group, Shafeena Yusuffali, CEO of Tablez, Mohammed Althaf, Director and V. Nandakumar, CCO of Lulu Group. Others present included business magnates and leadres from across the world.
The event is held annually to review the success of brands from across the globe. The evaluation involves a three-step assessment that caters to online voting, brand evaluation and consumer market research. After receiving the award, Ashraf Ali said that the company was delighted to receive the award and the fact that it was heavily based on public voting makes the victory even sweeter.
