The UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) launched a specialist training programme designed for teachers, in co-operation with Microsoft, which will enable them to learn advanced skills in using Microsoft’s educational tools in their classes. Teachers of all educational stages, from kindergarten to 12th Grade is included in the programme. This is the first of its kind international programme to strengthen the smart structure of UAE schools.
The training is part of the ministry’s efforts to keep pace with the latest technological developments in the educational sector. Microsoft staff will be training 13 teachers as the programme’s nucleus and will later on train other academic staff. This will enable teachers to use these developments at a professional level to adopt them in their work. Under the partnership, the training will take place over 18 months and the participants will be tested to confirm their progress.
