Ministry of Education introduces two-week military training for female public school Emirati teachers

A circular issued by the Ministry of Education has said that all female Emirati teachers employed in public schools will have to undergo a mandatory two-week military training. The training which will be conducted by the National Service and Reserves Authority is designed in a manner that will impart skills and awareness to the teachers and also educate them about the country’s values, notions of loyalty and how to be a cohesive team member so that they become better community members who appreciate and respect their nation even more.

The circular that was issued on Sunday was sent to all managements of public schools and essentially informed them about the potential dates and the commencement of the military training regimen.

The training modules will be conducted at Khawla Bint Al Azwar Military School in Mahwi Camp, Abu Dhabi and will be held from December 23 to January 13 next year. Moreover, the training will be carried out during the weekdays. Authorities said that the primary motive of initiating the programme was to raise the level of awareness among teachers and equip them with the ability to take on additional responsibilities and boost their sense of nationalism.
