In developments that will further the motives of healthcare and boost its effectiveness in the UAE, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) is harbouring plans to induct research and development facilities across the nation.
With regard to the same, the MOHAP is involved in discussions with private entities. The possibility of setting up a scientific research and an excellence hub in the UAE was brainstormed when Abdul Rahman Bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, held a meeting with Dr Amrit Ray, the Global President, R&D and Medical, Pfizer EMB.
During the meeting, Al Owais and Dr Ray held concerted discussions on the various ways to tackle chronic diseases and to find solutions to lingering issues in the cardiovascular field in sync with prevailing global practices. They also talked about modern technology playing a vital role in providing patient management strategies.
