In a new measure that according to doctors will go a long way in saving precious lives, the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi has called on emergency departments in all hospitals to adapt new regulations. These new regulations will apply to both public and private hospitals and will lead to a live saving structure that is being warmly welcomed by doctors in Abu Dhabi.
The new structure aims to provide better emergency care by providing access to well-equipped emergency units. In an announcement last week, the DoH said that the services in the emergency division will now be diversified into two independent entities, the urgent care centres and the emergency department.
According to the new directive, all public and private hospitals will have to comply with the new stipulations so as to receive a license for their emergency divisions. Doctors say that this new move will ensure the availability of better emergency services to patients, which will be instrumental in saving lives.
