A new initiative to provide relief efforts to the underprivileged in poor and disaster-struck countries

Zayed Giving Initiative (ZGI), Dar Al Ber Society (DAS) and Mawada Group jointly launched a new initiative to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, preventive and educational services in addition to capacity-building and integrated relief efforts to the underprivileged in poor and disaster-struck countries. The one-year initiative with an annual budget of AED 1 million will see the Zayed Charity Medical Convoys run 15 to 25 voluntary medical missions.

The selection of targeted countries will be made in coordination with the donors and in consideration of the allocated budget while the initiative will provide technical and logistic support. The ZGI will take care of management, operation as well as technical support for 15 mobile clinics and a field hospital at a total cost of AED 15 million.
