In the wake of an agreement signed between the UAE and Colombia, now ordinary passport holders from both the nations can travel between them without obtaining prior visa exemption.
The agreement between the two nations was signed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Luz Stella Jara Portilla, Vice Minister of Foreign Relations of Colombia. Sheikh Abdullah and Potilla signed the agreement on the sidelines of the visit of the former to Combia.
The two sides also held a meeting and held a luncheon in honor of Sheikh Abdullah. The meeting witnessed concerted talks on how to pave the way for bolstering bilateral ties. Moreover, they also discussed relevant regional and international issues that were of mutual interest to both sides.
As the meeting concluded, Sheikh Abdullah and Vice Minister of Foreign Relations held a joint press conference that addressed the burgeoning relations between the two nations. Also in attendance during the meet was Salem Rashid Al Oueiss, the UAE Ambassador to Colombia.
