Oyo Hotels, the Indian hospitality brand is aiming to expand its network across the UAE. The expansion is expected to throw up more than 10,000 jobs across the Emirates. The brand is also launching a training facility in the country in addition to establishing new chains as part of a three-year expansion plan.
The founder and CEO of Oyo Hotels, Ritesh Agarwal, said that the brand has five institutes in China and 20 in India, thus creating 60,000 jobs in China and 100,000 in India. He said that in a similar way, the brand expects to create thousands of jobs for UAE residents. Moreover, the training at the proposed hospitality training academy will be free of cost.
As of now, the brand has 1200 rooms in Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah and hopes to add 12,000 keys to the UAE sector by the end of 2020. The brand is aiming at 2020 owing to the expected influx of visitors that will happen during the Expo 2020. The group has townhouses in the UK and India and is mulling over plans to do the same in the UAE.
