As the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) continues its successful run, the weekend saw a massive influx of visitors to the premises of the event over the course of the event.
The event saw children in tow with their families attending the flurry of activities that included panel discussions, lectures and workshops. In fact, the festival is host to so many events that it has gone beyond the frontiers of being a mere book fair.
The event, which is expected to run on until April 27, is offering visitors a wide range of activities to choose from. Around 198 guests from 56 countries are taking part in the SCRF, with about 2600 activities being showcased.
The main themes under which the various activities are being carried out include Kids Activities, Cultural Activities, Comic Station Activities, and Social Media Activities. Moreover, young children are also being made aware about various issues such as environmental sustainability, in addition to the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) technology platform testing their problem solving abilities.
