Adnoc stations across all the Northern Emirates will now have self-service from October 21. However, if you still wish to take the help of a station attendant for fueling your car, it will set you back by Dh 10. Moreover, cashiers will be nearby in case you have any doubts on how to go about filling fuel or for any other assistance.
The premium service fee will be in place after five days in the emirates of Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. People of determination and the elderly will however, be exempted from paying the fee.
The new measure is in place after an initial phase of familiarization that the customers could go through. This phase was extremely helpful in equipping customers with the basic know how of how to fill up their cars.
The acting CEO of Adnoc Distribution, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, said that around 10,000 smart tags will be given to customers to ease their transition to self-service. The smart tag will enable them to pay the fee without the need to use cash or credit or debit cards.
