Sheikh Hamdan compares Dubai to tech giant Google

Only a few days ago, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, posted a series of tweets about his hopes and dreams for Dubai. The tweets were posted after meeting with Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google.

Years back, Dubai was a mere city in the desert and now has grown into a model city for the future of urbanism. Dubai has made its mark in the world tourism and technology map. Our cities achieve tremendous progress with the help of innovative technological advancements.

Dubai has been compared to many big cities of the world before, but the Crown Prince of Dubai compared the city to the tech giant, Google. “Sergey and his friend Larry Page founded Google from a dorm room and today the company is worth over $600 billion. Sergey and Larry’s inspiring story is similar to that of Dubai, we both share a desire to build the future. They created the future of knowledge; we created a model city for the future of urbanism. In cooperation with them, we can contribute positively to the future of humanity”, tweeted Sheikh Hamdan.
