Sheikh Mohammed tweets Diwali wishes in Hindi, Indian PM responds in Arabic

 

After Sheikh Mohammed took to Twitter to wish Indians on the festive occasion of Diwali in a special message crafted in Hindi, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reciprocated with a tweet in Arabic. The exchange delighted netizens who liked and retweeted the messages.

Earlier His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai had tweeted Diwali wishes in both English and Hindi while tagging the Indian PM. He tweeted, “On behalf of the people of the UAE. I wish @narendramodi and all who are celebrating Diwali a happy and joyful festival. May the light of love and hope shine on us all.”

The Indian PM responded with a tweet in Arabic and English which said, “Thank you for the Diwali wishes, Your Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Wishing you a Happy Diwali too. Your personal commitment towards India-UAE relations adds great strength to our bilateral ties.”
