The President of the Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi, who is on his maiden trip to the UAE, visited Abu Dhabi. The congress leader also dropped in to see the splendors of the iconic Sheikh Zayed Mosque in the capital city.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi also met Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Tolerance in Abu Dhabi yesterday afternoon. Sheikh Nahyan held a lavish lunch for the Congress President and his delegation at the Emirates Palace.
Meanwhile, yesterday, Gandhi had a fruitful and interesting interactive session with the students in the UAE at the Institute of Management Technology, Dubai. Both sides debated and discussed various topics like NRI quotas in medical schools which is considered unfair, the plight of rural women in India, among other raging issues. The session lasted for almost 50 minutes.
