As Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan continues his tour to the UAE, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, has said that the UAE is committed to providing unwavering support to Kerala and will contribute to the rebuilding and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-stricken state. He also said that the friendship between UAE and India went back in time and the two nations cared about each other.
The minister additionally hailed the role of the Kerala community in contributing to the UAE’s economy and society and said that “the people of Kerala are in our heart”. He was addressing the audience at a public meeting at the India Social and Cultural Centre (ISC),, which was also attended by the Kerala CM.
Earlier, Mr Vijayan attended a luncheon hosted by Sheikh Nahyan at his palace in Abu Dhabi. There he also provided a detailed plan that explores the possible ways in which the rehabilitation efforts in the state could be accelerated. Mr Vijayan commended the leadership of the UAE for their unconditional support in the wake of the horrendous flood situation.
