In view of the upcoming Expo 2020, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has initiated the launch of a smart health booking app. The app has been introduced as the event is expected to bring in a massive influx of visitors. The Expo 2020 is anticipated to generate an audience of over 25 million tourists.
The app will pave the way for a streamlined and user-friendly system that will enable visitors to avail themselves of healthcare and the world class medical facilities in the city. In addition to the launch of the app, healthcare practitioners and specialists will also acquire a new licensing system.
On Wednesday, the two new systems were officially launched by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. Doctors can register on the app by uploading their details while residents and tourists can book the services of a doctor through the simple interface.
The smart app will be made available on both android and iOs systems and has already come into effect from Wednesday. Those who are in Dubai and are keen to book a doctor or check into a clinic or hospital can simply log on to www.dubaihealthbooking.com.
