The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Police General HQ have announced a revision on the speed limits that are in place on the Shaikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street between Dubai-Al Ain Road and Al Yalayes Road.
The initial speed limit of 90 kmph has now been increased to 100 kmph and will be effective from March 17. The Chief Executive Officer of the Traffic and roads Agency, Maitha bin Adai, said that the decision had been taken in the wake of detailed studies that are in compliance with the Speed Management Manual prevalent in Dubai city.
Measures are also being put into place to adjust the speed cameras in accordance with the revised speed limits and are expected to be set at 120 kmph. The latest move is being perceived as an integral part of the traffic framework that focuses consistently on traffic safety. The RTA and the Dubai Police are in continuous collaboration to bolster traffic safety in line with the vision of the Dubai leadership.
