That the UAE is a haven of happiness for its residents is a well-established fact, manifested further in the well-being of citizens and the large number of expats who have made the country their home. The BCG’s Sustainable Economic Development Assessment has revealed that the UAE has markedly improved its position among countries that strike the right chord between national growth and the welfare of its citizens.
According to the results of the assessment, residents in the UAE are better placed than the citizens of a 100 other nations which include Italy, Russia and Malaysia among others. The assessment also attributed the high quality of life in the UAE to the government policies that encourage world-class infrastructure development and ensure economic stability. Moreover, the UAE has a highly efficient legal framework and strict laws that promote safety in the country and make its citizens feel secure.
The UAE government has also taken exemplary measures to improve the happiness quotient of its citizens. These measures are backed up by inventive initiatives that include ways to gauge the happiness levels of residents, establishment of a happiness ministry and converting customer service centres into happiness centres.
