As the CBSE results were announced yesterday, thousands of students in the UAE joined their Indian counterparts in receiving the grades of their exam results.
Around 1.6 million students in India were part of the pool of students who were eagerly awaiting their results.
Buvaneswari Jayasankar from the Indian High School Dubai (IHS) clinched a whopping 99.2%, the school’s top marks, though it was not clear if it was the highest in the UAE as well. This is because of the fact that not all UAE schools share the details of the results with the media and hence it is difficult to hone onto a topper.
The school toppers were of the unanimous opinion that there was no shortcut to success and working hard was the only viable option. The students said that revising the work done at school each day at home as well gave them an edge over others.
