UAE’s cultural talent finds a viable platform in the new round the world campaign

In what will be a competitive podium for exhibiting its cultural talent, the UAE’s brightest filmmakers, writers and artists will show off their skills in the round the world campaign spearheaded by the Ministry of Foreign affairs and International Cooperation. The performances will be carried out at the country’s various embassies and diplomatic missions across the world and will seek to connect with a more expansive global audience.
The office for Public and Cultural Diplomacy has been specially launched by the Ministry of Foreign affairs and International Cooperation to facilitate cultural interactions with other nations and also to provide a competitive stage to showcase the nuances of Emirati culture to the global community. This new office has at its helm, the Minister of State Zaki Nusseibeh, who was a trusted advisor of Sheikh Zayed, the country’s founding father. It is no surprise that this latest cultural venture has come at a time when the country is celebrating the Year of Zayed.
The UAE has always sought to highlight the importance of cultural ties with other nations. The launch of the new office comes amidst a phase that has seen the UAE increasing its cultural and strategic footprints on the global stage with the opening of additional diplomatic missions, funding humanitarian aids and opening up more frontiers of visa free travel for its citizens.
