For all crime buffs and Agatha Christie fans out there, here is an excellent opportunity to play detective. A new game called ‘Virtual Crime Scene’ has been introduced by the Dubai Police to give people insights into aspects of police work. The virtual mysteries that will be played out at shopping malls will test the crime solving abilities of the player.
The Dubai police Scholars Council has come up with the innovative new measure in a bid to let people solve their own crime scenes. The measure has been put into place under the directive of Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police. The game will allow people to understand how the police go about enforcing law and order.
The first of the virtual crime scene was set up at Mirdif City Centre this week and will be extended to other shopping malls in the near future. The scene mimics a real crime scene and will have police tapes to lend an air of authenticity. The game promises to enthrall visitors, especially those who fancy crime thrillers.
