According to the forecasts of the National Centre of Meteorology, the northern emirates could receive a spell of rainfall towards the end of the week. Moreover, the country will witness the possibilty of strong winds.
The NCM said that the islands, sea and northern parts in the UAE may receive rainfall as Thurday draws to an end. There may also be northwesterly winds which may reach maximum speeds of 60 km per hour at times. The forecasts also urge residents to be vigilant in the event of fog and mist dawning during the early morning hours. Today, the NCM also issued a fog warning as visibility conditions plumetted in certain areas of Abu Dhabi.
The mercury is likely to shoot up slightly over the next two days. Meanwhile, Tuesday and Wednesday is predicted to be partly cloudy and hazy at times. Conditions in the oman sea and Arabian Gulf will be relatively calm. The mercury is likely to dip as Thursday approaches with Friday projected to be much colder, as northwesterly winds picking up speeds of 60 km per hour.
