The summer is finally here and is here to stay as the forecasts project. The temperature is expected to soar to as high as 40 degrees in various parts of the country today, if the projections by the met department are anything to go by.
The next three days are also expected to experience dusty conditions. The National Centre of Meteorology said that interior areas such as Mezaira may see the mercury rising up to 41 degree celsius.
The NCM also said that temperatures in Dubai and the capital city of Abu Dhabi may actually go down a few notches to 38 and 39 degree celcius, respectively. From today, the skies may be cloudy to partly cloudy. Meanwhile, the western areas and areas over the sea may see some rainfall on Saturday. Clouds of dust may be prevalent in the country till Saturday.
Those who suffer from respiratory conditions should take adequate precautions when they step out since the billowing dust can trigger breathing problems and asthmatic attacks. The waters in the Oman Sea and Arabian Gulf are expected to be moderate to rough.
